PERSONNEL

The staff of Summit Surveying, Inc., is its greatest asset. Our employees are knowledgeable and experienced in the tasks for which they are responsible and are acutely aware that once our finished product leaves the office or a stake is set in the ground, others will rely upon its accuracy.

Office Staff

The office staff for surveying projects consists of three Registered Professional Land Surveyors (RPLS) licensed in the State of Texas, survey office technicians, and an Office Manager.

The Registered Surveyors serve as Project Managers. They are responsible for Client contacts and consultation, supervision of field and office staff, and are also significantly involved in the technical aspects of survey project production. All projects completed in our office undergo a review by one of the registered surveyors for quality, accuracy and presentation.

The survey office technicians are primarily responsible for research, processing field data and production of the graphic survey products. They are highly experienced and knowledgeable in a wide range of procedures including GPS post-processing, DTM creation for topography surveys and construction grade staking, digital drafting, and other surveying related tasks. They are also careful to seek assistance when questions arise.

The Office Manager maintains personnel records, stays up to date on labor and tax laws, manages accounts payable and receivable, and office supplies.

Field Staff

Summit has the capability to deploy five crews in the field. Each field crew has a crew chief with 5 to 25 years of experience. Field technicians (crew members) have several years of experience. They are trained to operate available equipment and are instructed on proper procedures for various surveying tasks. Also, when the need arises, several individuals from the office staff have the knowledge and experience to serve as crew chief.

Depending on the particular needs of a project, logistics and the most effective use of particular equipment and staff, crews may consist of a total of two to four people.
